- Historical Figure Represented: Hojo Masako (1157–1225) was the wife of Minamoto no Yoritomo and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Kamakura shogunate. After Yoritomo's death, she assumed real power in the shogunate and became known as the "Nun Shogun." Her strong will and leadership were instrumental in supporting Japan’s first samurai government.
- Artisan/Designer: Eiju Shimizu, renowned for his expertise in crafting intricate Ito-jime dolls.
- Unique Craftsmanship: The Ito-jime doll is a unique type of doll created using a technique devised by the late master doll maker Jusaburo Tsujimura.
- Production Method/material:The head and torso are crafted using tenjiku fabric (a type of cotton fabric) filled with wood wool. The doll is dressed in garments made from authentic kimono fabric, ensuring a unique and traditional aesthetic.

・These dolls are crafted using repurposed kimono fabric and should be handled with the same care as traditional kimonos.
・Avoid exposing the doll to humidity and ultraviolet rays whenever possible.
・For stains or dirt on the kimono fabric, we recommend gently dabbing the affected area with benzine and allowing it to dry.
・Benzine can also be used on the face and hands, which are made of chirimen fabric.
