  • Historical Figure Represented: Tamazusa is a vengeful spirit and a pivotal antagonist in Nansō Satomi Hakkenden. Throughout the epic, she relentlessly seeks to curse the Satomi clan and the eight dog warriors, acting as a shadowy central figure. Once a beautiful woman serving the Satomi family, she was tragically executed and transformed into a vengeful spirit. Her actions place numerous trials in the paths of the dog warriors, testing their virtues of humanity and loyalty. Tamazusa’s unyielding grudge and eerie allure add tension and depth to the story, making her a key figure in the challenges that define the warriors' journey.
  • Artisan/Designer: Eiju Shimizu, renowned for his expertise in crafting intricate Ito-jime dolls.
